Trochu, Alberta · One-of-one stained glass

Making light visible.

One-of-one stained glass, made slowly in Trochu, Alberta. Each piece begins with the natural world and ends by changing the room where it lives.

Signature project

Tree of Life

Built around branching movement and the quiet strength of an old tree, this study changes character as daylight moves through its greens, amber leaves, deep roots, and open sky.

The artist

Made slowly. Made to live with light.

Jon Sedore in the Badlands Glassworks studio

Jon Sedore found stained glass in a Trochu class in early 2024. Other people found the process repetitive. Jon found the slow transformation of each piece absorbing, and has been learning through every panel since.

He never expected to become an artist. Now he makes work inspired by nature, prairie light, and God's grace—work that people can live with, look into, and feel in their own homes.

Each piece is designed, cut, assembled, and finished by hand—made to become part of a room, not simply decoration placed in it.
